Shayan Syed
CS @ Ontario Tech
As a student in the Alimiyyah program at the Islamic Centre of Oshawa and a Computer Science student at Ontario Tech University, I am deeply connected to the journey of seeking Islamic knowledge for the sake of Allah. I believe that pursuing knowledge is a fundamental and essential part of a student’s growth, and this project is inspired by the desire to help students learn more effectively and confidently. My vision is to contribute to a future where authentic Islamic knowledge is not only accessible, but thoughtfully presented, aiding students and communities to engage with it meaningfully and grow in understanding.

This project has brought many benefits to my life. Most importantly, building an application for the benefit of Muslims undoubtedly brings barakah. Allah has made us responsible for being positive contributors to the Ummah. Through training RAG pipelines and developing the end-to-end appication, I strive towards building a beneficial applciation for Muslims. Both Shayan and I are firm upon making sure that all of our features are in accordance to the Sunnah, and we are never going to build anything that goes against it.
